It was a long night of spirited fun inside the tennis center at the DuPont Country Club this past weekend, where more than 50 juniors volleyed into action for a night of tennis benefitting the Delaware Tennis Foundation.
The annual “Tennithon” included round the clock tennis matches, games, and even a little instruction. Kids registered to play, lined up sponsors, and had the choice to play from 8 pm Saturday to Midnight or 8 pm to 6 am Sunday.
“Every year my parents hope I will go home at Midnight,” said 8th grader Drew Manning. “But I always stay and play all night because it’s so much fun,” he said.
