Tickets sold out before the doors opened on Friday night at the first annual Guilty Girls Giving Group Warehouse Sale. The sale, which, this year, benefitted Serviam Girls’ Academy, included two dozen high-end boutiques with end-of-season merchandise at wholesale prices. Unlike traditional gift shows, this one was all about the discount: clothing, accessories, home decor and gift items were reduced up to 75% off. On Friday 600 women streamed through the doors at University of Delaware’s Arsht Hall, all paying a $10 admission. Hundreds more shopped on Saturday. Volunteers wearing bright pink and white scarves were on hand to answer questions and point shoppers in the right direction. “We were thrilled that it all came together so nicely,” said one of the organizers, Lena Salus. “Perhaps best of all were the buzz and excitement — you could tell shoppers enjoyed seeing friends while scouting for some amazing bargains.”
