Some two dozen “Team Bank of America” employees on Wednesday stepped away from their offices and into the warehouses at the Food Bank of Delaware, where they sorted and boxed dry and canned goods. And gardening enthusiasts volunteered to help prepare bulbs for spring planting at the Governor’s Buena Vista Conference Center. During the “Week of Service” initiative, hundreds have donated their time to help others — even the Governor participated in volunteer activities this week. “We applaud the efforts of those who have taken a little time out of their busy schedules to help others,” Markell offered on Jan 10. “Every person can make a difference in the lives of others and in their communities.” To find a list of service projects, visit www.volunteerdelaware.org.
