Saturday, January 26 – Sunday, February 10 ~ all shows 2 pm at the Delaware Children’s Theatre in Wilmington.

The Delaware Children’s Theatre will present the classic story of a wooden puppet who dreams of becoming a little boy as part of the Theatre’s 40th Season.   PINOCCHIO  opens on 1/19 and runs each Saturday and Sunday afternoon through February 10th.

“This show is an important part of our 40th Anniversary Season.  PINOCCHIO was the first show that founder Marie Swajeski produced and directed when she opened the Delaware Children’s Theatre in 1973,” stated Donna Swajeski, the Vice President and a Creative Director with the Theatre.   Marie Swajeski is producing PINOCCHIO for the eighth time since 1973.

This show features a cast of more than 30 adults, teens and children and is directed by Tom Marshall. The Musical Director is Tony Romano.  The show features veteran actors Trip Ivie as Geppetto the Puppet Maker and Mary Spacht as the Blue Fairy.  Veteran comedic actor, Dan Healy, will play the Fox. Pinocchio will be played by William Rotsch.  He is 13 years old and will be performing in his 12th production at the Delaware Children’s Theatre.  He has most recently performed with the Wilmington Ballet at the DuPont Theatre and OperaDelaware.  All tickets $11 online / $14 door.
