Young Engineers at Robotics Competition

The largest single-day regional qualifying First State Lego Robotics tournament took place last weekend at Dickinson High School in Wilmington, with some 28 teams of 4th through 8th graders vying for top honors. Teams had about 3 months to design, program and build their lego robot. The Crazy Chickens, with team participants from Shue-Medill Middle School, Cab Calloway and one who is home-schooled, tied for first place, and the Wizard Warriors from Hockessin’s Sanford School took 3rd place in the event. The top 10 teams will participate in the the Champions Tournament at the University of Delaware on January 26.
