The Music School of Delaware will present a Martin Luther King and Black History Tribute concert on Jan 18, and the performance will feature the Cathedral Choir School and the Music School of Delaware’s Select Choral Ensemble. Dy=uring the concert, audience members will participate in a ring shout, an African-American religious tradition that can be traced back to West Africa. Concert will also feature a 40th anniversary celebration of Herbie Hancock’s landmark jazz-funk album, “Headhunters,” and excerpts from “The Meeting,” Jeff Stetson’s fictional play about a meeting between Dr. King and Malcolm X.
