One of Delaware’s unique – albeit strange – traditions is the annual Hummer’s Parade in Middletown. A parody of the renowned Mummer’s Parade in Philadelphia, the Hummer’s Parade kicks off at 1 pm each New Year’s Day and is open to all who’d like to participate. And frankly, we’d take one of these floats over a Mummer’s “fancy brigade” any day!
