In the wake of the tragedy in Newtown, CT, Delawareans did what they do best – come together to help. Despite a cold and blustery day, more than 600 runners and walkers headed to Rockford Park for a 5k to raise money for the Newtown community. All of the race services were donated, and Races2Run and the many volunteers deserve a special thank you for all of their work in organizing and manning the race. At last count, the race had raised nearly $16,000 for the Sandy Hook School Support Fund.
