Roy Cecchetti 2011 Backhouse Pinot Noir

Each year the FranksWine crew over here on North Union Street mulls over which wine we think caused the most buzz (figuratively and literally!) during the year.  It was pretty unanimous that good ‘ol Roy Cecchetti was the winner!  Not only was his 2011 Backhouse Pinot Noir the top selling Pinot Noir, California wine, and Red wine in the shop, but it was by far the #1 selling FranksWineXselection!
And this is why you love it!

This 100% Pinot Noir from Central Coast, CA is bright, fresh, charming, and flavorful. The brilliant ruby color sets the stage for aromas of ripe cherry and cranberry, with hints of white pepper and nutmeg. While dominated by effusive fruit flavor, the wine is soft, supple and rich in the mouth. This flower of a wine may be enjoyed today, served cool, alongside an appetizer of pate & smoked salmon, with broiled Portobello Mushrooms with garlic or as an aperitif.  3,000 cases produced.
