Shelters and soup kitchens across the state of Delaware are facing shortages of food and funds this holiday season. Want to help? Join WDEL radio host and Town Square Delaware contributor Rick Jensen for WDEL’s annual “Feed A Friend” food drive. On Thursday, December 6th, call 302.478.WDEL (9335) during Rick’s show (between 1 and 4 pm) to purchase one or more cases of food for just $11.50 per case. (Two cases are $23.00; ten, $115.00; and twenty, $230.00.) While you or your company may wish to donate $1,150 for one hundred cases, all amounts are appreciated! Each pledge will be made securely off-air; just tell your donation volunteer that you’d like to talk with Rick Jensen after you make your donation, and he’ll thank you and/or your company for your generosity. It’s a great way to help those in need, right here in our community, this holiday season.
