The St. Patrick’s Day Society recently hosted its eighth annual scholarship luncheon in honor of the late Father Jim Trainor. A long-time pastor of St. Patrick’s Church in Wilmington, Father Trainor’s legacy lives on through the scholarships, which are presented to graduating 8th graders of city parochial schools to help fund their continued education at local Catholic high schools.
