Girls on the Run® is a life-changing, character development program for girls in 3rd through 8th grade. The mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

Join Girls on the Run for the 2012 5K at Dravo Plaza at the Wilmington Riverfront on November 17th at 9:30am.

$25 pre registration until Nov. 13th

Jaycees Christmas Parade
Saturday, November 24th at 3pm

The Wilmington Jaycees are currently planning for the 49th Annual Wilmington Jaycees Christmas Parade to be held in Downtown Wilmington on Saturday, November 24 at 3 p.m. Due to the fantastic turnout on last year’s change to Saturday, we’re sticking with it for this year. This year’s Parade will again feature

  • Local celebrities and dignitaries
  • Marching and String Bands
  • Community organizations
  • Floats and attractions
  • Statewide Pageant Winners
  • Your Favorite Cartoon Characters

And the Star of the Show – Santa Claus! Elves will be accepting Christmas wish lists from children for Santa. Children who provide their name and address will receive a response from Santa in December.
