As if it weren’t already wet enough, on Sunday nearly 1,000 young rowers competed in the Head of the Christina Regatta, an all-day event that drew just as many viewers to WIlmington’s Riverfront. More than 200 crews, including the Wilmington Youth Rowing Association (WYRA), Newport Rowing Club, and Concord HS, as well as many visiting crews from Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York navigated the River for the chance to earn top honors. The Head of the Christina is a regional event high school and adults clubs.
