Breakfast on Saturday was served with a smile and a “thank you” from the 2012 Pancakes for Parkinson’s event organizers. They had a lot to be grateful for: they nearly doubled their attendance, feeding 1,200 hungry appetites; the weather couldn’t have been better; and the new location — Sanford School in Hockessin — offered the right mix of indoor and outdoor fun for families and friends. “We even recruited more volunteers this year,” remarked organizer Cindy Pettinaro Wilkinson. “We are so grateful to everyone who carved out a little time to enjoy yummy pancakes while supporting Parkinson’s research,” she said.
