More than 600 women and girls painted the town “pink” last night at the women’s-only Race for the Pink Ribbon 5K at Wilmington’s Riverfront! The annual run/walk raises funds to defeat breast cancer, and Races2Run organizers Wayne Kursh and Barb Brown did their part to generate enthusiasm by recruiting some of the top male runners in the area to show up in Chippendale Cheer attire. “Our race participants were absolutely thrilled by the support they received from the guys decked out in black slacks and pink bow ties,” remarked Caitlin Dailik with the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.
