Four crews from the Newport Rowing Club will head to Tennessee later this month to compete in USRowing’s Youth National Championship Regatta. The rowers earned their places at last month’s Mid-Atlantic Regionals, held in Princeton Junction at an official training site for the U.S. national rowing team. Located along the Christina River, the Newport Rowing Club was created in July 2010 to train young athletes and promote competitive and recreational rowing as a lifetime sport.
