TSD received a special tour and preview of plans for the Westover Hills Estate formerly owned by Charles Cawley of MBNA, during a celebratory cocktail party held at the home last week. Originally built in 1929, the estate includes the landmark stone mansion, along with a multi-room carriage house, car barn, tennis court and greenhouse. Brandywine Fine Properties / Sotheby’s International Realty, in partnership with the new owner, Dewson Construction, are marketing the estate as three separate properties, with plenty of opportunity for expansion or reconstruction. Two of the parcels offer more than an acre of land and the third, nearly two acres. “This is the rebirth of one of Westover Hills’ finest residences,” said Laird Bunch, President of Brandywine Fine Properties. “A new generation of families will experience the elegance of this historic estate, customized to reflect their individual styles.”
