Mixologists of all political persuasions hustled to serve thirsty customers at Catherine Rooney’s in Trolley Square on Friday night, March 30, in support of the Cindy Foundation for Ovarian Cancer Research. Talented guest bartenders included Congressman John Carney, former Gov. and Congressman Mike Castle, State Rep. Helene Keeley and more, all enjoying themselves while raising funds in honor of Cindy DiPinto, who died of ovarian cancer in 2009. In just three years, the Cindy Foundation has contributed $55,000 to organizations like Christiana Care’s Helen F. Graham Cancer Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. On Wednesday, September 5, a 5k run/walk at the Wilmington Riverfront will benefit the Cindy Foundation.
