For more than a decade, the Easter Seals of Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore have raised nearly $3 million through their annual Volleyball Challenge.  Once again this year, the event was sponsored by CAI and held at the University of Delaware’s Carpenter Sports Center where dozens of teams spiked, set and saved all weekend March 9-11 to support a wonderful cause.  A highlight was Saturday’s traditional face-off between the Democrats (featuring Gov. Jack Markell, Senator Tom Carper, Congressman John Carney, State Rep. Valerie Longhurst and more) and Republicans (showcasing the talents of Rep. Greg Lavelle, County Council President Tom Kovach, Former Senator Charlie Copeland and Rep. Mike Ramone) with the GOP taking this year’s event in a tight 2-1 contest.  Its not too late to donate to your favorite team.
