These kids are just good at Lego’s — they’re terrific at making them move. A 4th grade First Lego ‘Robotics’ team from Sanford School in Hockessin, Delaware, earned top honors among 44 competing teams in a regional Robotics tournament on Jan. 14th at Oxford High School. The “Wizard Warriors” team qualified to participate in the Jan 28 First State Robotics Champion’s tournament, the largest student robotics event ever held in Delaware, at UD’s Bob Carpenter Center. The competition was based on core values and teamwork, a research project, and a robotic design and competition section. The program enhances Sanford’s science, technology, and math programs, while teaching the true value of teamwork.
