When Extreme Makeover Home Edition announced they were coming to Sussex County, DE, Angersteins Lighting and Design Center knew that we wanted to help Dale Dunning of Juust Sooup, a well known soup kitchen in Lewes, DE.

Schell Brothers and the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition team are working around the clock all week long with community volunteers to build a complex for Dunning and her family where she will operate her soup ministry.

Angersteins donated Focus landscape lighting for the path and ledge lights.

Landscape lighting is a very important aspect of home design. Both from an aesthetic point of view, and because the lighting provides added security. Angersteins specializes in landscape design and layout, and stock the broad line of quality Focus Industries landscape lights in both their Wilmington and Milton stores.

We are so happy to participate in this project that will be a beautiful gift, and impacts the community in such a positive way. All of us at Angersteins had a great time when we donated products to and participated in the Wilmington Extreme Home Makeover a few years ago. Staying involved and supporting our community has been an important part of our culture since we opened in 1924.

Monday August 29th is “Move That Bus Day” where the new home and Soup Kitchen will be unveiled. I have been following the project on Twitter, and hope to make it down on Monday for the big day.
