TSD: Delaware’s best take on events, community and local life

Today marks the beginning of our August Education Series. Throughout the month of August, we will deliver fresh perspectives on education in Delaware as part of our offering every weekday. We are fortunate to be joined in this effort not only by some of our regular contributors, but also by some of the leading lights in education up and down the state – from teachers to students to administrators to board members to reformers and beyond. Fortunately, we will be hearing from people who represent different viewpoints and approaches, so that we might reach our goal of hearing all sides of the story.

If you are involved in education and would like to be a part of our series, please send an email to dave@new.delawarelive.com.

The first entry in the August Education Series, by former Christina School District President John Young, is published today. We hope you enjoy the series as we begin the run-up to another school year, and we invite you to share these writings via email, Twitter and Facebook, and to join in the conversation in the comments.
