This past weekend, seventy of the region’s top junior tennis players — including some from Maryland and Pennsylvania — came to Dover for the Oscar Sebastian Memorial Delaware State Junior Tournament. The tournament honors Delaware tennis legend Oscar Sebastian, patriarch of the Sebastian family of Dover, who managed the tournament beginning in 1973. Today Oscar’s daughter Ami Sebastian-Hauer is tournament director and on Sunday Ami awarded winners of the boys and girls 16 and 18-and-under divisions with $100 educational grants in honor of her dad and his commitment to education.
