The weather looks wet this week with some more rain in the forecast. There are a lot of good matches as the regular season ends on May 15th.

 

The No.1 team in Division 1 Middletown is 10-0 on the season after a 3-1 win over No. 2 Appoquinimink last week.  This season the Cavs have outscored their 65-2.  That is incredible but they have 3 ranked teams on the schedule this week.  

 

There are a lot of big matches this week including No. 2 in Division 1 Appoquinimink travel to Division 2 No. 1 Caravel.  Appoquinimink has scored 8 more goals this season 44-36 but Caravel has only given up 2 goals while Appoquinimink 6.

 

Here is the week 2 Delaware Live Rankings after the seventh  week of competition. 

 

Division 1

No. 1 Middletown (10-0)(LW No, 1)  The Cavs defeated Mount Pleasant and No. 2 Appoquinimink last week.  They play 3 ranked teams this week as they travel to No. 5 Padua on Monday, travel to No. 8 Delcastle on Wednesday, and host Division 2 No. 2 Saint Mark’s on Friday.

 

No. 2 Appoquinimink (8-2)(LW No. 2)  The Jags lost to  No, 1 Middletown 3-1. They travel to Division 1 No. 1 Caravel on Monday, and to Indian River on Saturday.

 

No.3  Polytech (8-1-2)(LW No. 4) The Panthers went 3-0 last week with wins over Milford, Cape Henlopen,and FSMA.  They travel to Indian River on Tuesday and host No. 6 Sussex Tech on Thursday.

 

No.4 Caesar Rodney (8-3-1)(LW No. 6)   The Riders went 1-0-1 last week with a win over No. 3 Sussex Tech  and tied Smyrna 1-1.  They travel to Sussex Academy on Tuesday and to Dover on Thursday.

 

No. 5 Padua (5-6)(LW No. 5) The Pandas beat Indian River and then lost  to Division 1 No. 1 Caravel 2-0.  Their tough schedule continues as they host No. 1 Middletown on Monday and Newark Charter on Thursday.

 

No. 6 Sussex Tech (6-3-3)(LW No. 3). The Ravens went 0-1-1 last week with a lose to  Caesar Rodney  and then tied Sussex Central 1-1.  They travel to Aspira on Tuesday, and then No. 3 Polytech on Thursday.

 

No. 7 Odessa (8-3-1)(LW No. 7) The Ducks went 2-1 last week with  wins over MOT Charter and William Penn. They lost to St Andrew;s 1-0.  They host Aspita on Monday night and Division 2 No. 3 Archmere on Friday.

 

No. 8 Delcastle (9-3)(LW No. 8)  The Cougars went 2-0 last week with wins over Red Lion and Newark. They host DMA on Monday and No. 1 Middletown on Wednesday.

 

No. 9 Dover (7-3-2)(LW No.9)  The Senators defeated  Milford last week.  They travel to Seaford on Tuesday and host No. 4 Caesar Rodney on Thursday.  

 

No. 10 Sussex Central (5-3-3)(LW No. 10)  The Golden Knights tied then No. 3 Sissex Tech 1-1.  They travel to Lake Forest on Tuesday and Smyrna on Thursday.

 

Division 2

No. 1 Caravel (10-0-1)(LW No.1)   The Bucs went 1-0-1 last week after a 1-1 tie against then No. 4 Sussex Academy,  and a win vs Padua.  They host Division 1 No. 2 Appoquinimink on Monday and travel to Wilmington Charter on Friday.

 

No. 2 Saint Mark’s (10-1)(LW No. 2)   The Spartans went 3-0 last week  with wins over No. 3 Archmere, then  No. 6 Newark Charter, and Tower Hill.  They host Ursuline on Wednesday, and travel to Division 1 No. 1 Middletown on Friday..

 

No. 3 Archmere (9-2)(LW No. 3) The Auks went 1-1 last week as they lost 4-2 to No. 2 Saint Mark’s but rebounded with a win against DMA.  They travel to MOT Charter on Wednesday, and then head to Division 1 No. 7 Odessa on Friday.

 

No. 4 St Andrew’s (9-2-1)(LW No. 8)  The Saints went 3-0 last week with wins over then  No. 7 Sanford, Tatnall, and Division 1 No. 7 Odessa.  They travel to Tower Hill on Thursday and host Friends on Saturday.

 

No. 5 Delmar (8-3)(LW No. 10)  The Wildcats went 2-0 last week defeating Seaford, and then No. 4 Sussex Academy.  They host Smyrna on Tuesday and Lake Forest on Thursday.

 

No. 6 Sussex Academy (9-2-1)(LW No. 4) The Seahawks went 1-1-1 against  three ranked teams on the road last week: They defeated then No. 6 Newark Charter.  They tied No. 1 Caravel 1-1.  They lost 2-1 to then  No. 10 Delmar on Thursday.  They are finally home on Tuesday as they host Division 1 No. 4 Caesar Rodney, and travel to Seaford on Thursday.

 

No. 7  Indian River (7-3-1)(LW No. 5)  The Indians went 2-1 last week with wins over Lake Forest and Aspira.  They lost to Division 1 No. 5 Padua.  They host Division 1 No. 3 Polytech on Tuesday, they travel to Laurel.  They host Division 1 No. 2 Appoquimink on Saturday.

 

No. 8 Sanford (8-3)(LW No. 7) The Warriors went 1-1 last week with a win overWilmington Christian and a loss to St Andrews,  They host Friends on Tuesday and travel to Ursuline on Friday.

 

No. 9 Conrad (8-4)(LW No. 9) The Red Wolves defeated Delmarva Christian on Monday and lost Wilmington Charter on Wednesday.  They travel to No. 10 Newark Charter on Tuesday, and host Red Lion on Thursday.  

No. 10  Newark Charter (5-5)(LW No. 6)  The Patriots went 0-2 with both losses coming to ranked teams No. 2 Saint Mark’s and to then  No, 4 Sussex Academy.  They host No. 9 Conrad on Tuesday, travel to Division 1 No. 5 Padua on Thursday, and host FSMA on Friday.
