Good news for Kennett Pike drivers: the Shell gas station in the heart of Greenville is back open for business, after a four-month closure for renovations. The only filling station along an 8 mile stretch of Rte. 52 between Pennsylvania and Union Street now has an upgraded exterior, 6 new pumps and an improved parking lot.
The Pettinaro Company, owners of the property managed by the Wills Group Company, tells us the convenience store has also undergone several enhancements — including tidy overhauled restrooms — that will be unveiled to 19807 drivers this coming week. TSD broke news of the station’s temporary closure in September, back when the Super Bowl was just a glimmer in a young Doug Pederson’s eye. And just as with the Eagles, the opening beat expectations of an early spring unveiling.
