Feisty Queen ‘Victoria’ Premiers at Delaware Historical Society

Fans of the hit PBS series “Victoria” were treated to a special preview screening of the show on Sunday at the Delaware Historical Society in Wilmington. The sneak peek of episode 1, season 2 revealed the latest scandals and palace intrigue to beset the spirited queen.

Arranged in partnership with WHYY, the special event included a decadent afternoon tea service, appetizers, Victoria-themed swag, and photo opps with life-size cutouts of the Queen and her handsome mate, Prince Albert.  A few of the more than 100 people dressed in Victorian attire for the occasion. (One guest was proud to sport her Harrods handbag as we snapped her picture!)

Vice President for News Operations of WHYY John Mussoni thanked the crowd for coming to watch the Victoria preview, knowing they would forego the Eagles game. “We are very proud of our arts and culture programs and believe that our engagement with people in the community is very important,” he said. Episode 1 will air January 14, 2018.
