Napa Wineries Impress at ‘Ultimate Wine Experience’

Duckhorn Vineyards offered pourings at the Ultimate Wine Experience

Local wine lovers enjoyed a quintessential wine tasting experience at the charming Brantwyn Estate Mansion on November 10th in support of the Cancer Support Community of Delaware (CSCDE).

With highlights from some of the best vineyards in Napa Valley and here locally, the Wine & Spirit Company of Greenville hosted their annual Ultimate Wine Experience, led by owner Bill Galbraith.

Guests received a commemorative wine glass

Local wineries and distribution companies were on hand offering samplings of 100+ wines, champagnes, ports, and cognac. Samplings included Bouchaine, Caymus Napa Valley, Chimney Rock Winery, Far Niente, Graham’s, Hennessy, and J. Lassalle to name a few.

Brantwyn Mansion catered bite sized nibbles, a meat carving station, and delicious desserts. The silent auction featured a variety of fine bottles of wine, with the most expensive to the tune of $800.

Nearly 200 guests attended the popular CSCDE fundraiser. Executive Director Nicole Topkis Pickles expressed gratitude to the local businesses who do their part to support organizations like CSCDE, often year after year.

“Bill (Galbraith) has been such a loyal friend and generous supporter of Cancer Support Community over the years. It’s been a pleasure working with a neighboring business who shares enthusiasm for giving back to our local community. We are able to make such a positive difference in the lives of so many cancer patients, their caregivers, and family members, thanks to the funds raised from this event.”

Cancer Support Community Delaware is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support services to cancer patients with any type of cancer, their caregivers, and families.
