Easterseals Award Dinner Honors Service, Shares Impact

A sold-out crowd packed the Chase Center on the Riverfront for a dinner in support of Easterseals of Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore on October 12.  Attendees came to celebrate longtime board member John Riley with the Drex Jones Volunteer Award.

In accepting the honor, Riley noted that his aunt and Drex Jones worked together more than a generation ago, early pioneers in seeking to help those with disabilities live productive, independent lives.

One of the night’s most inspiring moments was a tandem testimonial from Patrice and Rich Parson, who spoke about the transformational impact of Easterseals therapists on their little daughter Journey.  The Parson’s provided a powerful and moving call of support for the work of the nonprofit that serves thousands in need across the state.
