Serviam Unveils Donor Wall for 10th Anniversary

To kick off its tenth year of educating girls, Serviam Academy unveiled a striking donor wall in recognition of its donors’ commitment to Inspiring Minds and Creating Futures.

School administrators and teachers celebrated a wonderful evening of food and fellowship with over 120 key supporters over the past decade. After a short program, guests were invited to tour the school to hear first hand from students and teachers about the great work they support.

The school is based on a model that does not include a guaranteed funding stream. The founders believed that the larger community would be willing to provide for a quality education for some of New Castle County’s neediest families and $1.6 million prior to opening its doors in 2008. Serviam proudly educates 50-60 girls in grades 5 through 8 tuition-free, while continuing to support its 66 alumnae in both high school and college, 98 % of whom continue to thrive in 15 high schools and 12 colleges and universities.
