Iconic Budweiser Clydesdales March on Main Street this weekend

The beloved Budweiser Clydesdales that have become synonymous with the ‘King of Beers’ are making two appearances in Delaware this weekend. On Friday, July 14th, the team of horses pulling the famous red, white and gold carriage will appear at the Wilmington Blue Rocks Stadium from 5 to 7 pm. And then on Saturday they will parade through Newark, making deliveries to downtown businesses from 2 to 4 pm beginning at the Newark Shopping Center on East Main Street and traveling to the Park-N-Shop plaza on South Main Street.

The planned stops are expected to be a short duration (3-5 minutes). As part of the appearance, there are slight impacts to parking and traffic in the Newark area. In addition, metered parking near planned stops may be unavailable until the carriage has traveled past the area.

The world renowned Budweiser Clydesdales

The Budweiser Clydesdales regularly make appearances around the country and continue to be marketing stalwarts for Anheuser-Busch. They first appeared in the Super Bowl in 1986, and have since appeared in more than 25 Super Bowl commercials for the company.
