Tower Hill Boys lacrosse coach Brad du Pont (THS ’82) celebrated his 200th win last week with a victory against St. Mark’s High School on Tuesday, May 2nd. Du Pont began coaching the Hillers in 1999. The 2003 lacrosse team made it to the finals of the state tournament in only its second year of varsity competition, and the 2005 squad won the state championship.
In 2010 du Pont coached a talented group of athletes, many of whom had played together lacrosse since 5th grade. They had a remarkable season right through the state tournament which lead to a matchup against lax powerhouse Salesianum for the championship. The Hillers capped a thrilling game with a win in double overtime. (Chat Robino with a pass to Michael Pettit, who made the goal.)
Tower Hill has been a finalist in the state lacrosse tournament five of the past eleven seasons.
