Feline Fun in Disney’s ‘Aristocats’ at DCT

Who doesn’t love kittens? Delaware Children’s Theatre opens their “Theatre for the Very Young” production of Disney’s The Aristocats this Saturday, April 29, and the show runs through May 21.

Taking place in Paris, The Aristocats tells the story of Duchess and her kittens who are owned by a wealthy Parisian socialite. But her greedy butler smuggles them out to the country so they won’t inherit her fortune. Luckily, the furry family is rescued by a jazzy alley cat, Thomas, who leads them back home and helps them defeat the villain. With upbeat Disney music the whole family will love, this show also features a special dance by Wilmington Ballet Junior Company

You can catch The Aristocats every Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm, however there is no performance on Mother’s Day. It’s particularly suitable for the little ones since it is an hour show. For tickets, visit dechildrenstheatre.org.

Dress rehearsal images were shot by members of the digital photography class of the Delaware Art Museum on April 25, 2017. Danny Schweers, instructor.
