World Premiers Highlight Impressive Delaware Theatre Co. 2017-2018 Season Lineup

Amidst the organization’s most successful run in recent years, the Delaware Theatre Company has announced a 2017/2018 season lineup that includes three regional and one world premiere.

Artistic director Bud Martin says the professional company’s 39th season in Wilmington will aim to offer a “diversity of stories and actors” that “examine the human condition, while still providing accessible and memorable experiences.”

“Our subscribers have enjoyed being a part of the development of new works for Broadway or Off-Broadway, and this season is no different”, said Martin.

Included in the schedule are an adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s Something Wicked this Way Comes, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare – Abridged, where three actors juggle all 37 Shakespeare plays in 97 minutes, and a tribute to the legendary vocalist Ella Fitzgerald.

The DTC is making a special push to enlist seasonal subscribers for next year, pointing out that several productions this year were sold out.
