Habitat for Humanity NCC Journeys to Costa Rica

Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County just returned from a Global Village trip to Costa Rica, where CEO Kevin Smith and a team of volunteers from Delaware and Pennsylvania worked for two weeks to build a home for a single mother of two. This was an inaugural visit to Costa Rica for the NCC chapter of the nonprofit housing organization. Thirteen Habitat NCC supporters and staffers changed the life of Magaly Rodrigues Sanchez, who has two teenage daughters and job that requires her to be gone from 5 am to 7 pm each day. Magaly now has a brand new home and a sense of stability. “It’s been a real good experience, a humbling experience,” said Miguel Little. And Nick Annino remarked, “Realizing that we are building her a home and helping her so much, I’m just so happy to be a part of this effort.”
