Miss Greenville and Miss Hockessin Are Crowned

Talents counts the most (35%) in pageants leading up to the Miss Delaware contest, and the winners at Saturday’s Miss Hockessin pageant certainly had loads of it! Jhimil Pandit, who was crowned 2016 Miss Hockessin Outstanding Teen, speaks five languages, has traveled to every continent, and played a song on the piano by Beethoven for judges. She is a student at Wilmington Charter High School. Newark’s Kylie Kidd, who was crowned 2016 Miss Greenville Outstanding Teen, is working on her Gold Award for Girl Scouts, has made honor roll every semester at Delaware Military Academy, and has performed with the Marching Band Color Guard for the last three years. She performed a jazz dance to Michael Jackson’s Man in the Mirror for the judges.

2016 Miss Hockessin Rachel Buckler is University of Delaware sophomore with a Health Behavior Science major and dance minor. In high school she was in the National Honor Society and made honor roll all four years. She performed an electrifying tap dance number in a gold and black sequined ensemble. 2016 Miss Greenville Brandi Moore graduated from Delaware State University making Dean’s List seven semesters. Captain of the hip-hop dance team at Hodgson Vo-Tech from 2008-2010, Brandi performed a dance to “Note to God” by Charice for the judges.

The new titleholders will compete at the Miss Delaware State Finals competition in a few months.
