Polar Bears Plunge for Special Olympics

It was a record-breaking day for the Polar Bear Plunge! Some 3,500 crazy kids and adults got soaking wet at the 25th annual Lewes Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics Delaware and raised a staggering $820,000 for the non-profit. The event, which takes place at Rehoboth Beach, drew lots of high school groups, supporters of Special Olympics, and other dare devils, who were all up to the challenge. Wondering about the temps? The air was 45˚ and the water was a brisk 43˚. Way to go Bears!
