Today marks the 20th anniversary of Pierre Toussaint Dental Office, Ministry of Caring’s place where Delaware’s homeless, poor and uninsured can get free or low-cost dental care.
With the office’s help, many have received not only a restored smile but also renewed dignity and relief from chronic pain. In a release, the office noted its work isn’t just about teeth– improving others’ dental health has an impact on physical, psychological and social levels.
Located in Wilmington, the office serves patients ages 19 to 64 and has a full-time dentist, part-time dental hygienist, two full-time dental assistants, a full-time administrator and a part-time volunteer administrator.
