Kids Fulfill Charity "Wish Lists" on MLK Day

Students at Tower Hill School put down their pencils and took up collections on Monday as part of the school-wide Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. The day included organizing donations to charity “wish lists” and hands-on service and craft activities. Students set up service stations to organize donations families made on behalf of the Delaware Humane Association, Faithful Friends, Lutheran Community Services, the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware and the VA Hospital. And younger children made artwork for the Ronald McDonald House and wrote letters to children in the hospital as well as to veterans at the VA.
