Chinese Festival Begins Tomorrow

Town Square Delaware received a sneak peek at this year’s three-day Chinese Festival, which begins next Friday at the Chinese American Community Center (CACC) in Hockessin. Among this year’s attractions will be handmade kites, including an eagle, phoenix, butterfly and even a giant 20-yard dragon, which, if weather permits, will take to the skies to the delight of the families below. Since its inaugural event in 1992, the annual Chinese Festival has become a Wilmington tradition celebrating the rich diversity of Chinese culture in the area. Event times are:

Friday, June 20         5pm – 9 pm

Saturday, June 21     11 am – 9 pm

Sunday, June 22       12 pm – 6 pm

For more information about the Festival, contact the CACC office at 302-239-0432 or cacc_de@hotmail.com.
