Wilmington's Renaissance Continues!

Leveraging the arts to make Wilmington a better place to live, work, play and learn was the theme at last week’s Wilmington Renaissance Corporation (WRC) 2014 annual meeting, held, fittingly, at the World Cafe Live at the Queen. Governor Markell spoke to the crowd of 200+ about the proposed Downtown Development Districts and was joined by representatives from the City of Wilmington, the National Endowment for the Arts’ Laura Scanlon and keynote speaker Jamie Bennett, executive director of ArtPlace America. Visit WRC’s website to learn more about downtown Wilmington’s revitalization.
