Basketball Excitement in Delaware

During the height of March Madness, some 400 young Delawareans were able to enjoy  basketball competition of their own at Special Olympics Delaware’s annual State Basketball Team Tournament this past weekend. Thirty-eight teams from across the State made up of more than 400 Special Olympics athletes and Unified Partners (peers without disabilities) competed in round robin tournaments at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark. The weekend-long event included skills competitions, half-court team competitions and Olympic Village activities.
