Campfires and cocktails greeted guests at the Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay’s Centennial Celebration, fittingly held at the Queen’s World Cafe Live. Music from Jellyroll and Kristen & the Noise provided the soundtrack as guests sipped, danced and bid on dozens of silent auction items, including a Phillies Phan Package and a stylish trip to the Big Apple. Founded in 1912 by Juliette “Daisy” Gordon Lowe, the Girl Scouts organization has inspired millions of girls with the ideals of courage, confidence and character. Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay will continue to celebrate 2012: The Year of the Girl through October with a variety of girl, Troop, Service Unit and Council-sponsored events. To learn more, visit www.gscb.org.
