Tennis Great Wow’s the RSTTA Crowd at Wilmington Country Club
May 21, 2012 By Town Square Delaware
There was tremendous excitement in the air on May 4th under the big top at Wilmington Country Club as some 300 guests enjoyed the
Rodney Street Tennis & Tutoring Association’s annual party and fundraiser. The Spring Benefit featured special guest
Mats Wilander, a former World No 1 tennis player who still actively supports the game. Several guests were delighted to meet the seven-time Grand Slam Champion. But he also greeted children from Rodney Street, who were inspired by his encouraging words and champion attitude. Nearly $100,000 was raised for Rodney Street, which would like to thank the
Comcast Family of Companies and their many other sponsors, guests and auction donors. For 34 years RSTTA has had a track record of helping underserved kids in our community academically and athletically by providing tennis instruction and after school tutoring.
