The Delaware Children’s Museum launched a new series last weekend, called “Pee Wee Glee Club,” a program that introduces children to different musical styles, the science behind music, and their own ability to sing strongly. The inaugural program featured The Obertones, an a cappella group from Oberlin College. Following their performance, group members showed children (and their grown-ups) how to stretch their bodies before a performance, just like athletes do, how to make percussion sounds with their mouths (“beatboxing”), and how to sing in rounds. Applause, all around!
